AI can write a caption in about four seconds. “Big things happen when you stay consistent. Progress isn’t always loud, but it always adds up.” It’s fine. It’s also something a thousand other businesses posted this morning.
That’s the catch. The tool can produce words. It can’t produce you.
What AI is genuinely good at
- Draft faster. Get from blank page to first version in minutes.
- Research faster. Summarize, outline and organize what you’re working with.
- Repurpose faster. Turn one idea into a post, an email and a short script.
Use it for all of that. Speed is a real advantage.
What only you can bring
Experience. Opinion. Taste. Personality. Trust. None of those come from a prompt. They come from the work you’ve done, the clients you’ve served and the things you’ve learned the hard way.
The “my take” checklist
Before you post anything AI helped write, run it through this list:
- Real experience. Does it come from something you actually lived?
- Actual examples. Is there a real situation, not a generic one?
- What I’ve learned. Is there a lesson only you could share?
- My opinion, not generic. Would anyone disagree with it? Good.
- A personal story. Does a person show up in it?
- Make it sound like me. Read it aloud. If it doesn’t sound like you, rewrite it until it does.
That’s the value. Use technology to scale your voice, not erase it.
